There isn't much info available about the family of her mother. She has a father who is Filipino, whereas their mother's name is Mexican. Erin Lim is a twin sister, named Erica. Erin Lim was a graduate of an exclusive high school located in California. As soon as she finished the high school years, she was accepted into the Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. The college is where she earned her bachelor's in Arts degree in May 2013 with a major in Broadcast and TV Journalism. Rubi Rose Benton was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, where she also grew up, to Nardos Ghebrelul her mother who was she was an Eritrean dentist from the United States, and John Benton, her father who is an attorney and has half Japanese and half African origin. Her ethnicity was Eritrean however, her mother is from Ethiopia. Because her father is an adoptee, she has a paternal biological grandfather who is of Japanese origin. Scarlette's older sister is named Coral as is Scarlette her younger. The year she lived there was Geneva within Switzerland. During her junior high school time, she moved from Atlanta into Georgia. Georgia State University was where she studied politics. She was raised listening to Prince Michael Jackson Biggie Marvin Gaye Chaka Khan. Megan Thee Stallion is an influence, as are Nicki Minaj and Foxy Brown. Rose first gained fame as the principal model of hip-hop group Migos the music video of the single Bad and Boujee. Around this time, she started performing regularly on Twitch broadcast together with East Coast Rap Commentator, DJ Akademiks.
