Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. Her debut was on the large screen with Sex Traffic by Channel 4 and won the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. The actress speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian proficiently. The father of her mother was an actor and her mother was a violinist. Won the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award in the Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star. Apart from her stellar performance in her debut film, the actress will also be remembered for role in the Romanian art film 4 months 3 Weeks and 2 Days which won her several laurels like winning the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She was in 2007 the lead role in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si2 (4 months, 3 weeks, and 3 Weeks, 2 Days) which was directed composed by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). In addition, she appeared as an infant in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca had roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as also in the Romanian film Boogie. Later she as the role of Irma's German Aunt in Fury, which was released in 2014.
