Anne Celeste Heche was an American actress known for her roles across a range of types of film, television, and stage. Anne Lockhart is an American actress. She was born Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6, 1953. She is most well-known for her part as Lieutenant Sheba on the tv show Battlestar Galactica (1978-1979). She is the daughter actor June Lockhart and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart started her acting career at a young age. Her first appearance came around the age of 4 when she appeared in T is for Tumbleweed. This short subject film was considered for nomination to an Oscar award. The actress would often be seen at the location alongside her mother so she was able to learn the finer points of the business world. Lockhart has appeared in several episodes of Lassie. Carpenter says that he was interested in her playing the character but that she turned it down. Anne does not recall John Carpenter contacting her or suggesting the role. It is possible that her agent turned it down on her behalf, without notifying her. Glen Larson, who had submitted a rough script of the role she was to play in the TV program Battlestar Galactica from 1978, at first, she was chosen. It was not a strong character enough for her to accept the role. Glen later wrote a part for her which featured the strong character Sheba. She embraced the Living Legend script after reading the first 25 pages. The show lasted for one season. She co-starred in Joyride together with Desi Arnaz Jr., Melanie Griffith (the daughter of Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucille Bell), Robert Carradine and Melanie Griffith in 1977 and in The Dark Tower with Michael Moriarty (1987).
