Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American stage actress and producer, is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is is an American actor and producer who has worked in theater and TV and films as well, is actively involved on both sides of the screen. Her acting career began in the theater. She then appeared in numerous television shows in independent films, mainstream and movies. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared in BET's epic show The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she won critical acclaim as well as a variety of nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. She began her career as an actress in 1995 as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. Stage credits include Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Her film work is highlighted by her roles in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her character on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
